Ex-independant officer, feels a strong lingering loyalty to fellow Browncoats

Dark brown hair (graying) kept short, brown eyes, fairly agile, but average or below strength. Memorable appearance.

Very inteligent and extremly strong willed. Never rattled. Devout worshiper of the Greek Pantheon.

Decent shooter, educated, exelent hovercraft pilot, good people skills (honed from military officer quartermaster corps)

Adopted as a infant and grew up on Haven.

Met a girl named Betty Mae that fell in love with him.

Joined the Haven's plantary armed forces at age 19 as an officer for a 2 year stint. War broke out and his stint got extended. Transfered to Supply corps where he honed his skills and was promoted to Captain.

At age 23 Involved in a pitched battle, Independants lost and JD was captured & imprisioned. Charged as a radical and enemy of the state. Held in Medium security work camp. Escaped, but was caught and term extended another 5 years.

Finally released, bought Betty Mae and began career as freelance merchant trader.
